Driving by car with friends or loved ones can be pretty much an interesting trip. Aside from the scenic and greeneries that can be seen through out your journey, the fresh air and unpolluted countryside can offer a soughtful experience. Once you get to Terengganu road, the beautiful beaches and blue waters welcome you. Driving travellers are advise to get a map from Tourism Malaysia or any bookstore.

KL to KT (approx. 455 km): 2 option the coastal road or Jerangau Jabor
Highway 2 KL (Gombak Toll) on Karak Highway towards East Coast (Jabor Toll) and continue towards Kuala Terengganu exit via Cukai town in Kemaman (Coastal road to Kemaman, Dungun and Kuala Terengganu)(223km)

Or

Highway 2 KL (Gombak Toll) on Karak Highway towards East Coast (Jabor Toll) and continue towards Kuala Terengganu exit via Bukit Besi/Ajil/Kuala Terengganu.

Singapore/Johor Bahru to KT (approx. 562 km):
Highway E2 head north on the North-South highway and exit at Yong Peng. Proceed to Labis ang Segamat on Highway 1 to Kuantan and follow coastal road exit via Cukai town in Kemaman, Dungun and Kuala Terengganu.

The coastal route: Highway 3 Head to Kota Tinggi, Mersing, Kuala Rompin, Pekan, Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu.

Penang to KT (approx. 460 km):
Highway 4 Penang on the East West Highway via Grik to Jertih - turn right towards Highway 3 to Kuala Terengganu or turn left towards Kuala Besut for scenic drive on coastal road towards Kuala Terengganu.

Secure car parks are available at Merang Jetty (Redang Island/Lang Tengah Island), Marang Jetty (Kapas Island), Kuala Besut Jetty (Perhentian Island) and Gawi Jetty (Kenyir Lake).
