Masjid jambi

Built in 1937 in Kampung Pasir Gajah, Masjid Jambi was built by the descendants from the district of Jambi in Sumatera, Indonesia. The traditional building materials were brought in from Jambi while its roof tiles were specially imported from India. The mosque also spots a replica of the buffalo’s horns on its roof top. This building is unique by incorporating foreign concepts blended into Terengganu's local designs, creating a distinctive mosque. Masjid Jambi is proof of the once powerful reign of the Jambi monarchy in this village.
